- 1987: Business is transformed into cooperative
- 2005: CONTIGO meets Capiz Shell

Structure of the business
Number of employees:
- 15 employees (5 women and 10 men)
- Work / Production at home: 15 craftsmen, so-called „subcontractors“
- Cooperation with 6 workshops (with 84 employees in total)
Work organisation:
Devided into 7 departments
- Research and product development, sampling
- Washing of raw material and finished products

Capiz Shell complies with the following Fairtrade Principles:

Fair wages
- Minimum wage in the sector/region: PHP 353/day (PHP=Philippine Peso)
- Wage at Capiz Shell: Minimum wage
- Employees receive fixed salary (payment in cash, monthly)
- Workers in production receive piece rate (payment in cash, weekly)
- Higher wages in case of overtime (plus meal allowance)
- Holiday bonus
- One monthly salary extra
Humane working conditions
Working hours:
- 8 hours/day
- 1 break (lunch)
- 6 days/week
Social benefits:
- Contributions to health insurance (PhilHealth) and social security system (SSS)
